DPNM News:ALBUQUERQUE ― Today, Sept. 1, leaders in the Democratic Party of New Mexico (DPNM) and DACA recipients with United We Dream Action will hold a press conference to urge President Trump to defend DACA, the program that protects undocumented immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children.
Speakers include N.M. Representative and DPNM Hispanic Caucus Co-Chair Patricia Roybal Caballero, N.M. Representative Javier Martinez, Immigrant Advocate Cindy Nava, Senator Tom Udall’s State Director Greg Bloom, and DACA recipients with United We Dream Yazmin and Jazmin Irazoqui Ruiz.
The conference begins at 11:15 a.m. in front of the University of New Mexico on the corner of Girard Blvd. and Campus Blvd. NE (street parking on Campus Blvd.) MAP
