Mango’s Cafe is located at 1325 Trinity Drive at the American Legion Post 90 in Los Alamos. Mango’s Cafe is open to the public 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Thursdays & Fridays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays.
Menu includes American bar food classics like chicken wings, fried pickles, fried okra, burgers, salads and sandwiches. Prices are very reasonable.
I recently visited with my son and we shared wings, and the fried veggie basket. The wings were hot, fresh and crispy; we tried the lemon pepper and the classic hot wings. They had other flavor options as well. We got 12 wings, split amongst the two flavors, and it came with fries.
What is the American Legion? The American Legion, commonly known as the Legion, is a non-profit organization of United States war veterans headquartered in Indianapolis, Ind. It comprises state, U.S. territory and overseas departments, in turn, made up of local posts. You do not have to be a member to go there, though you do need to sign in as a guest.
