Staff Report

The top vote getter in the recent survey asking which night Creole Nouvelle Restaurant should reopen for dinner is Saturday night.

However, it turns out that some of the staff cannot work Saturday night so co-owner Ester Lucchini said the decision has been made to reopen for dinner every Thursday, which voters selected as the second most popular night.

Creole Nouvelle is open 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday and Lucchini and her husband co-owner Peter Lucchini have been reopening their restaurant at 1793 Deacon St., for dinner on Friday’s since February and have been overwhelmed by the crowds. They decided to reopen a second night and asked the community to choose which night that would be.

“We will announce when we will be reopening for dinner on Thursdays very soon,” Esther Lucchini said.

Menu items include a sea food gumbo with shrimp, crab and craw fish, oyster po’ boy and prime rib po’ boy sandwiches, cajun pasta, a popular bread pudding and much more.

Thursday remained in the lead as the top dinner night until the final hours of the five-day survey at which time Saturday pulled ahead.
