‘Threading Forever’ Reception 2-5 p.m. Saturday

LIBRARY News:

Mesa Public Library is proud to host a new exhibit featuring artwork never before seen in Los Alamos. The opening reception is 2-5 p.m. Saturday, June 6 in the Upstairs Gallery.

Works in this exhibit include photography by Houston-based artist Theresa DiMenno; metal sculpture by Harriette Lawler, a well-known Northern New Mexico artist; photography by Jim Caffrey, who will give a gallery talk at the opening reception; and a unique set of drawings based on a photographic technique, by Libyan artist Mohammed Bin Lamin.

The exhibit will be shown throughout the month of June. The Upstairs Art Gallery at Mesa Public Library hosts shows by local and regional artists, as well as travelling exhibits, 10 to 12 times each year.

The Upstairs Gallery is open during regular library hours:

  • Monday-Thursday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday Noon to 5 p.m.
