Several Cathy’s practiced their wuthering moves at Mesa Public Library on Monday night, July 27. Leave behind my wuthering, wuthering, Wuthering HeightsI.” There will be one more optional practice session at the White Rock Library this from 6–7 p.m., Thursday, July 30.

We’d love for you to come wuther with us for Los Alamos’ (and New Mexico’s!) second The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever (TMWHDE) from 10–10:45 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 1 “out on the wily, windy moors” of Ashley Pond. Everyone’s invited and the event is free, but please register in advance.

There are dance tutorials and more on the website. Wear something red-ish if you can. We will walk through all the dance steps at least once (probably “The Heathcliff” twice!) on the morning of TMWHDE. Then PAC-8 will film the production! This event is about participation and not perfection—and most importantly to have fun!

TMWHDE is based on Kate Bush’s 1978 song, “Wuthering Heights,” which in turn is based on Emily Brontë’s book of the same name. The idea originated with “Shambush’s The Ultimate Kate Bush Experience,” presented at the 2013 Brighton Fringe, an alternative arts and music festival in the United Kingdom. It is now a global phenomenon, and we’re bringing the TMWHDE to New Mexico!
