The Hive Launches Crowdfunding Campaign

By Dave Jones

The Hive Steward

The Los Alamos County Council voted 7-0 on a resolution directing the County staff to work with us to develop a path for possible County support for The Hive.

We are now working on a proposal that will go through County staff and then back to the Council.

I’m very grateful to those of you that attended the meeting and to those of you who spoke on our behalf.

In an attempt to keep The Hive open while we work through this proposal to the County and other possible funding mechanisms, we have set up a crowdfunding account with a website called Fundly to accept donations from the community. The site address is www.fundly.com/thehive.

We hope many of you share our passion for the mission of The Hive and that you will consider a donation to help us weather this storm.

Regardless of whether you are in a position to make a donation or not, please pass this to your friends for their consideration.

The Hive is a service of the High Mesa Institutes, which is a 501c3 non-profit, making your donation tax deductible.

Thank you in advance for your support.
