The Elephant in the RoomWe are the Los Alamos County Republican Party and we welcome you! We are your neighbors, co-workers and friends. We don’t all look the same, think the same or have the same opinions but we have a common goal to make our town, our state and our nation the best place to live.
Our differences make us unique and gives the opportunity for great discussion, debate and ultimately solutions to pursue our goals. As Republicans, we believe in PEOPLE. Extraordinary strength and capability lies in the diverse people of our community, state, and nation. Personal freedom and responsibility, hard work, responsible free enterprise, and strong moral character and compassion are foundations of our society.
There are two main groups in Los Alamos that represent your local Republican Party; the Los Alamos Federation of Republican Women and the Republican Party of Los Alamos.
We would like to invite you to a couple of events we have planned for this summer so that you can learn more about your local GOP.
- Feed the Ducks with us!
We know it’s often difficult to find time to attend meetings, especially if you have kids, so bring the kids and have fun feeding the ducks while you learn more about the LAFRW! This event is 10:30 a.m. to noon today at Ashley Pond. Snacks will be provided and there will be a speaker from the County Clerk’s office to discuss voter registration.
- Summer Picnic.
The Republican Party of Los Alamos will be hosting its annual Picnic at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., July 11 at Ashley Pond. This event is open to the public, especially those who would like to learn more about the Los Alamos County Republican Party.There will be food, drink, speakers and activities for the kids (including a bounce house).
There is lots of room for ALL types of Republicans – those who are conservative, moderate or left of center. We need to make a positive difference at ALL levels of government and we need ALL types of Republicans in order to reach our goals.
We would love to see you at one or both of these upcoming events.
We are the Elephant in the room, taking on those issues that matter and sometimes might be difficult! There are many Republicans in Los Alamos. Working together, we can make a difference and be heard.
