Mother’s Day is a perfect day to re-establish the popular music concert series, The Coffee House. This season’s Coffee House will present a “High Tea and Concert” May 13 at Fuller Lodge, May 13. Tea will be served at 4 p.m. and the music will be performed at 5 p.m. Kay Newnam, violinist, has organized the event, featuring professionally presented chamber music.
The program will include music of Mozart, Bach, Neher, and the ever-popular, Franz Schubert’s “Trout” Quintet. Tickets are exclusively available at CB FOX, in advance, and are $30 for general, $25 for members of the Arts Council, and $15 for students (with ID please). Please pay by cash or check at CB FOX.
A few years ago, Newnam started the Coffee House series of concerts and socializing at Fuller Lodge. There has been a hiatus for a few years, but the popular event is now back – just in time for Mother’s Day! Newnam will present her colleagues in a superbly executed and deeply emotional concert. Danny Desantis, violist, will come down from Colorado for this special concert. One of the top cellists in the country, Erika Duke, from Los Angeles will join the Coffee House for the first time.
Jacquelyn Helin, pianist, will come up from Santa Fe, and Patrick Neher, contrabassist, rounds out the group of inspiring and professional musicians.
