My wife and I have been visiting our daughter and her family here in LA for the past couple of weeks and thought it would be fun to take our two grandkids (6&8) to the new Aquatic Center.
After returning home my wife noticed her earring was missing. These earrings belonged to her mother and as you can imagine were a treasured keepsake.
After searching the car and the house I returned to the Aquatic Center hoping they’d been found and turned in. Sure enough, the girl behind the counter opened a drawer and pulled out the earring. If you think I was relieved you should have seen my wife when I returned home.
I was raised in a small Northern Wisconsin town and at an early age learned to look after and trust my neighbors (both known and unknown) and to do the right thing even when nobody is watching. That is one of the many reasons why we are so grateful that our family has settled here in beautiful Los Alamos. There really seems to be a sense of family here. A sense of “I’ve got your back”.
Thank you to the person who found the earring.
