TGIF: Los Alamos Baroque Quartet Performs Oct. 18

TGIF Concert Series News:
 
As part of the TGIF (Thank God It’s Friday) Concert Series, Los Alamos Baroque Quartet will perform J.S. Bach, Johann Quantz, and Georg Telemann at 5:30 p.m., Oct. 18 at the First Presbyterian Church of Santa Fe at 208 Grant Ave.
 
Members include:

  • Joseph Fasel, Baroque oboe and oboe d’amore, recorder
  • Charles McMillan, recorders
  • Kenneth Perlow, viola da gamba
  • Juanita Madland, harpsichord
 
Dr. Linda Raney founded the TGIF Concert Series in 2008 at Santa Fe’s First Presbyterian Church. She is director of music and the organist at the church and recipient of the Santa Fe Mayor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts.

Submit a Recital Program

To perform on the TGIF Concert Series, email Linda Raney at tgif@fpcsantafe.org. (Note scheduling is for 2020 and beyond.) The email should include as attachments, not embedded within the email:

  • 1. Your bio (this may be edited by us for space considerations)
  • 2. Your complete program, to include:

a. the formal name of each selection (with popular name, if desired and when applicable)

b. the name of the larger work from which any selection is extracted (when applicable)

c. the composer’s full name along with birth date (and death date when applicable) (Please use as little formatting as possible: no indented lists, no spaces instead of tabs, no dot leaders, no bold (italics may be used), no multiple fonts, etc.)

  • 3. A digital photo
  • Include your preferred concert date(s), selected from the open dates listed in the schedule below. The programs and any commentary should be 30-40 minutes in length.
  • To schedule practice time, review the church calendar for Sanctuary openings and send a request to Linda Raney at the email address above to reserve times.
