Teen Center Open House Updates Community And Gathers Input On New Facility

Abatement work for the new Teen Center in the Community Building at 20th and Central Avenue is on-going. The Training Room, old Municipal Court and Historical Archives area and Council Chambers have been abated. NMSU Cooperative Extension and the Forest Service have moved to their temporary quarters in the abated areas and will remain there until Spring 2015. The contractor plans to complete all of the work on the main level this month. Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2015 with a move-in timeframe of July or August 2015. Photo by Carol A.
