Executive Director of Taos School of Music Kathleen Anderson has announced the faculty for the upcoming 2016 season:
- Borromeo String Quartet, Ensemble-in-Residence at the New England Conservatory of Music;
- Miro Quartet based in Austin, Texas; and
- Brentano String Quartet, now engaged as Quartet in Residence at Yale School of Music.
Summer faculty will perform at Taos Community Auditorium in July and August.
“We are exceedingly proud of our faculty, who regularly perform at venues such as Carnegie Hall and receive rave reviews from papers such as the Boston Globe and New York Times.” Anderson said, “They are among the first rank of classical musicians performing and recording today. We are fortunate to attract the best of the best to Taos, and our ticket prices remain very affordable so families can discover and enjoy these fine artists’ inspiring performances.”
The summer season also features concerts performed by TSM’s 19 outstanding young artists in Taos and Taos Ski Valley. As one of the nation’s oldest summer classical music programs, Taos School of Music has been a mainstay of the Taos artistic community for more than five decades.
