FOS News:
The 17 Annual Friends of the Shelter (FOS) Dog Jog is set to kick off at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 27.
The starting line is at Chamisa Elementary School in White Rock. The registration desk opens at 8 a.m., and the event includes a sanctioned 5K run and a 3.5K walk.
This is a family friendly event and dogs of all sizes and shapes are welcome to participate – entrants with pets are eligible for fun prizes.
Nice shelter dogs will be available to rent on a first come basis for the race or walk and also will be available for adoption.
FOS is sponsoring a $20 reduced fee microchip clinic 9-10:30 a.m., at Chamisa Elementary School. Veterinarians from a local clinic will donate their time. The fee includes the registration of the microchip to a national database.
The clinic is open to the public regardless of participation in the Dog Jog.
