Linda Rickel passed away June 25th, 2018, in the arms of her loving husband Dwight. Linda and Dwight were enjoying their 55th year of marriage, which produced two wonderful children, Erika and Aaron. She also leaves behind her beloved son-in law Daniel, daughter-in law Suzie, 3 grandchildren, Carmen, Simone and Aiden, brothers David and Scotty, sister-in-law Elaine, and numerous friends.

Linda was born in Biloxi, Mississippi and moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she met her husband Dwight.

Constance Mary Cobb was born March 11, 1943, in Rockford, Illinois to Norman and Geraldine Olson.

Constance (known to everyone as Connie) married Donald Cobb (Don) on August 3, 1963. They moved to Los Alamos from Iowa City, Iowa, with their two-year-old daughter Paula, arriving on July 22, 1970. Their daughter Allison was born in March, 1971. (Connie often remarked that, at first, she thought it was just the change in altitude.) They have been members of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Los Alamos for 48 years.

Marie Conn Nester, age 86, passed away on June 19, 2018.  Marie was born on her family's farm in Richardson County, NE, on October 25, 1931, to William and Anna Kean. 

Marie was preceded in death by her husbands James Conn and Harry Nester, and granddaughter Kelsi Conn.

Jean Loretta (Waiter) Dabney was born January 5, 1920 and went to be with our Lord on August 19, 2017.

Jean was raised on a farm in Michigan and moved to Chicago to work for Zenith Radio just before WWII started. Jean served in the Army as a WAC in Los Alamos during WWII where she met her husband, Winston Dabney. They remained in Los Alamos for over 60 years, where they raised their family and worked for LANL.

In their golden years they moved to Casa Grande, AZ to enjoy the year round hot weather.

A memorial is planned for June 23 in Belen, New Mexico for Darle Howat Vosburgh, 88, who died March 11th in Los Alamos as a result of multiple health issues.
Darle Howat was born January 11, 1930 in Staten Island, New York to Walter and Agnes Howat. Walter was a chemist and ceramics engineer during World War I and founded a ceramics casting company in Tottenville, at the southern tip of Staten Island.
Darle loved the outdoors and spent her childhood years caring for and riding horses along Staten Island beaches.

Terry D. Langham, 80, a long-term resident of Los Alamos, New Mexico, was born Sept. 30, 1937 in Fredrick, Oklahoma.
He died peacefully at home on June 7, 2018 with his wife, Clarice, by his side.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

On the afternoon of June 11, 2018, the angels came to lead our brother, James Jim Patrick Borrego into paradise.

Jim was born on February 20, 1965 in Los Alamos, to Tony and Jessie Borrego. He was a lifelong resident of White Rock and the second of four sons. He graduated from Los Alamos High School in 1983 and later from ITT Tech in Albuquerque. He then began his career at LAHS in the electronics department and after 25 years, planned his retirement at the end of June, prior to him falling ill in the early spring.

Clint Webb, 82, peacefully passed away in his home with his loving family by his side. He fought a long, courageous and dignified battle, but the long term effects of Alzheimer’s took its toll.

Clint was born on January 14, 1936 in Brigham City, Utah and adopted by Bert and Hattie Webb shortly after. He was adored by his mother and he loved and adored her until she passed away when he was 15 years old. He grew up in Las Vegas, NV and met his wife while in High School, but they didn’t start dating until after they both graduated.

Elizabeth Weiss, 87, of Los Alamos, passed away May 12, 2018, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Elizabeth Schwenkert in Ulm, Germany January 16, 1931 and immigrated to the US in 1950. She lived in New York City where she met her husband, Eugene and they wed in 1954. Elizabeth had two children and worked with Eugene in the family dry cleaning business.
In 1992, Elizabeth moved to Los Alamos, where she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, going to the pool, and sewing.

Charles “Chuck” Clevenger passed away May 4, 2018 at his home in Edgewood, NM. He was born August 6, 1942 in Kansas, to the late Marion and Margaret Clevenger.

He went on to become a Journeyman Wireman in construction until he retired in 2011. He was initiated into the IBEW Union Local 611 in April 1964 where he remained a member for 54 years.

Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, tools, and Ford’s. He was rough around the edges and enjoyed giving everyone a hard time but deep down had a big heart.

Jason David Zurbrugg, 39, passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2018.

He was born Nov. 3, 1978 in Columbus, Indiana, to David Lawrence and Diane Jean Davis Zurbrugg. He married Beckie Angell Morrison November 3, 2009 in Columbus, Indiana.

Jason overcame many trials in his short life to become a much loved, talented and knowledgeable father, step-father and husband. Jason was brilliant. He loved being outdoors and worked in landscaping and pond design.

Kenneth John Wilson, age 91, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 24, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Marge.
Ken was born July 1, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Ruth Wilson. He attended one year at the University of Chicago before enlisting in the U.S. Army Air Force. After an honorable discharge in 1945, he chose to continue his education at Grinnell College in Iowa. This choice was a wise one, since in addition to studying economics, he met a lovely young lady from Tulsa, Oklahoma, named Marjorie Webster.

Judith S. Dudziak, 82, of Los Alamos, New Mexico, passed away on March 17, 2018 in Dallas, Texas of heart and lung failure.
She grew up in Western Pennsylvania and earned a BA from the University of Pittsburgh in 1963. She and her husband, the love of her life, Donald J. Dudziak, were married for over 58 years. Judy and Don lived in Pittsburgh, both working at the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory (Naval reactors) until 1965, when they moved to Los Alamos, NM. There they raised their 3 children, Alan, Matt, and Karin.

It is with great sorrow that I inform you that Rebecca Easley passed away on May 29, 2018. She would have been ninety on July 10, 2018.

Rebecca and her husband, George, were married in Kokomo, IN on June 18, 1950, just two weeks after they graduated from Indiana Central College. They have three sons: Matthew (Sue) in St. Louis, MO; Brett (Susan) in Santiago, Chile; and Jonathan (Paula) in Tucson, AZ. They are blessed with 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Becky taught English and Reading in Ohio, Indiana, Minnesota, and New Mexico.

Wanda Mae (Wagner) Higgins, age 97, passed away May 28, 2018 surrounded by family and music at Hummingbird Music Camp in Jemez Springs, New Mexico. 

Wanda was born July 16, 1920 in Dolores, Colorado to Elmer and Sarah (Kellogg) Wagner. She moved to Albuquerque in 1937 and married Kenneth Lloyd “KL” Higgins in 1939. Together they founded Hummingbird Music Camp, where she cooked, cleaned, and supported every child who came to camp as a team with her husband.

She received many accolades over the years, including the NM Platinum Music

Allan was born June 6, 1938 to George and Esther Lacy near Valley Forge, PA. Allan was raised on the family farm and was the youngest of seven children. He graduated High School and went on to join the Army where he specialized in Explosive Ordinance Demolitions.  
While serving in the Army, he met and fell head over heels in love with Delores Ruth King.

She was born on June 30, 1932 in Trout, West Virginia, to the late Roxie Nelia McClung Wiblin and the late Joseph Bryant Wiblin. Betty graduated from Williamsburg High School (Greenbrier County, WV) in 1949 and taught in a one-room school near Richwood, WV. She then attended Berea College in Berea, Kentucky. She taught briefly in Hebron, Ohio.
Betty was the loving wife of the late William Perry Warthen.

Bill and Olive were married on October 21, 1951 in Denver, CO and moved to Los Alamos in 1953. Bill was a graduate from Sterling College, Kansas with a degree in Biology and Chemistry.

Cuevas, grandson-in-law Cesar Cuevas, and his nephew Christopher Lee Shepard and his family.
