SFCC And HEC To Close For Memorial Day

SFCC News:
 
SANTA FE Santa Fe Community College and the Santa Fe Higher Education Center will be closed Monday, May 27, in honor of Memorial Day.
 
No classes or activities will be held and no other student services will be available. The college’s early childhood development center, Kids Campus, and the William C. Witter Fitness Education Center also will be closed.
 
SFCC and the Santa Fe Higher Education Center will reopen Tuesday, May 28. SFCC’s William C. Witter Fitness Education Center will reopen at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. Summer and Fall 2019 Credit and Continuing Education

The New Mexico team including members from Los Alamos Middle School competed May 11-13 at the National MathCounts in Orlando, Fla. Balderas: Convicted Teacher Gets 108 Years In Prison

SANTA FE Attorney General Hector Balderas announced Thursday that Gary Gregor, the teacher who sexually assaulted multiple students in Rio Arriba County was sentenced to more than a century in prison.
 
In December, AG Balderas successfully secured multiple convictions against Gregor, for sexually assaulting 4th grade students during the 2007-2008 school year at Fairview Elementary School.

Pajarito Press publishers Nancy Bartlit and Mark Rayburn were on hand however, signing books at the Bradbury Science  Museum. ALBUQUERQUE The logo/image designed by Albuquerque artist Zahra Marwan for the 2019 National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) Children’s Bilingual Book Festival has been shortlisted for the 2019 World Illustration Awards.
