Annual Hawk To Hilltopper Event At Urban Park May 31 … Let The Famous Shaving Cream War Begin!

The Los Alamos County Recreation Division announces the annual Hawk to Hilltopper event noon to 2 p.m. Friday, May 31 at Urban Park.
 
The event is a celebration for 8th grade students transitioning to high school. Students will be treated to a BBQ lunch, inflatable toys and the famous shaving cream war.
 
The event will end with the Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) hosing off the students after the shaving cream war.

For those who are curious about opera, or who wish to understand the allure of the world-famous Santa Fe Opera, this is the perfect learning opportunity. The U.S. Agency for International Development has presented the 2019 Science for Development Award to Lillian Petersen of Los Alamos, at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) in Phoenix, Ariz.
