LAPD Aces First Annual Accreditation Review

Los Alamos Police Chief Dino Sgambellone announced today that the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) has successfully completed the first annual review of the advanced law enforcement accreditation program.

The Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) completed the week long review at the end of May.

A water main break has occurred on San Ildefonso Road on North Mesa and customers east of Camino Uva may experience little to no water pressure.

Department of Public Utilities crews estimate water will be restored by midnight.

Every year the cost to collect and transport trash in Los Alamos County to the landfill rises, and the annual price tag is already pretty hefty. As the cost rises so does the amount of waste filling up the landfill.

Update: The main dispatch phone number 505.662.8222 has remained stable and is back in use.

LAPD News:

Los Alamos Police Chief Dino Sgambellone reports that the main dispatch phone number 505.662.8222 is not working at the moment.

Citizens can use 505.662.8220 for non-emergency calls, he said.

The 911 lines have not been affected.
