NHCC Opens Proposal Process For 2019-2020 Performing Arts Season

ALBUQUERQUE ― The National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) has launched its second performing arts proposal process to determine its Performing Arts Season that runs between June 2019 and July 2020.

All performing artists who would like to present a show at the NHCC during that time period are required to submit a proposal form no later than midnight Dec. 21, 2018.

Colorado Woman Pleads Guilty In New Mexico To Federal Charges From Crime Spree Resulting In Death

ALBUQUERQUE – Trista Schlaefli, 33, of Colorado Springs, Colo., pled guilty Tuesday afternoon in federal court in Las Cruces to charges arising out of a Nov. 27, 2017 crime spree during which Schlaefli and her co-defendant allegedly fled from a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint, carjacked a vehicle at gunpoint resulting in the death of a victim, and attempted to carjack two other vehicles.

Film Office: ‘Rattlesnake’ Begins Filming In New Mexico

SANTA FE ― Today, New Mexico Film Office Director Nick Maniatis announced that the feature film, “Rattlesnake,” produced by Campfire has begun principal photography through mid-December in Santa Fe, Espanola, Las Vegas, Cochiti and Abiquiu.

“I’m proud to welcome another great production to New Mexico,” Maniatis said. “Our industry is booming and I’m excited to see more film jobs coming to our state.”

The production is employing 100 New Mexico crew members, 20 New Mexico actors and approximately 100 New Mexico background talent.

FBI: Apparent Murder-Suicide Leaves Four Adults Dead In Tsayatoh, New Nexico

FBI News:

The FBI and Navajo Nation Division of Public Safety are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Tsayatoh, N.M., (near Gallup) that left four adults dead, including the suspected shooter.

Preliminary indications are the shooting, which occurred early Tuesday morning, was an act of domestic violence. An adult woman with gunshot wounds was taken to a local hospital.

The incident occurred inside a residence.

Autopsies are pending.

As this incident is currently under investigation, that is all the information that can be released at this time. Read More
