Sipapu, Los Alamos County, Pajarito Collaborate on New Mexico’s Most Powerful Season Ski Pass

As part of its continued commitment to give skiing enthusiasts open and unlimited access to Pajarito Mountain, the Los Alamos Ski Area and Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort will offer skiers and snowboarders unlimited access to both mountains this upcoming winter, plus free lift tickets at more than 20 other resorts in New Mexico, Colorado, Utah and throughout the country on one season pass: the New Mexico Power Pass.

The results for the Atomic City Runners Pace Race held July 8 are as follows:
 
Three runners in the 2.8-mile race had almost perfect predictions; Nikol Strother missed by only 1.5 seconds, Nick Parra-Vasquez by 2 seconds and Katie Gattiker by 3 seconds. Many runners were within a minute of their predictions.

The Los Alamos Family YMCA hosted its annual Firecracker 5K Fun Run Friday at the YMCA, 1450 Iris St.

Prizes went to the top runner in each category and every participant received a t-shirt and were eligible for many great door prizes from local businesses.

Many participants ran, jgged or walked the race, then hung out for free food, games and the children’s parade.
