Topper Girls Basketball Advances To Quarterfinals!
Friday night at Griffith Gym in a first round state tournament game the Hilltoppers Girls’ basketball team managed to hold on for a 66-60 victory over the Goddard Rockets.
As expected, the 5th seeded Hilltoppers jumped out to an early 17-8 first quarter lead over the 12th seeded rockets. Topper Coach Nestor Trujillo got to clear the bench getting everyone into early action. The Toppers led by 31-23 at half and 46-35 after 3 quarters.

High Flyers Gymnastics’ first ever Pojoaque Dreamcatcher Invitational last weekend drew 352 female gymnasts from across the region.
The event, held at Buffalo Thunder Resort, drew an estimated 1,200 spectators and 16 teams from throughout New Mexico and Amarillo and El Paso, Texas. Dozens of parents and community volunteers helped make the meet a huge success.

YMCA Little Youth Soccer Registration Opens Tuesday

Registration for the developmental youth soccer program starts March 1 at the YMCA.
This is a volunteer parent/coach lead program for youth ages 4-5 and 6-7 to learn the fundamentals of soccer, develop social skills through teamwork, and have fun playing a few games during the week in Los Alamos and White Rock.
Teams will be divided by age and preferred practice location/ days of the week. Practices and games are 5:30-6:30 p.m., 2x per week for six weeks. Players get to keep their team jersey.

NM State Basketball Championships Tip Off Friday

ALBUQUERQUE – The New Mexico Activities Association would like to advise the public of important information pertaining to the 2016 U.S. Bank State Basketball Championships.
The first round of the tournament will be played on Friday, March 4 (Girls) and Saturday, March 5 (Boys) at the home sites of the higher seeded teams. Tickets for the first round games will be $5.00.
