Community Invited To Post Office Plaque Dedication

U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich Visits Los Alamos Daily Post

U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich, D-N.M., stopped by the Los Alamos Daily Post newspaper this afternoon following visits to Descartes Labs, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Cottonwood on the Greens at the Golf Course and the Democratic Campaign Headquarters in Central Park Square. Heinrich visited the newspaper in 2013 to congratulate the news team on its small business of the year award. NNSA Extends LANL Management Contract

LANL News:

Director Charlie McMillan announced Wednesday during an all-employee meeting that the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) has agreed to extend the contract to manage Los Alamos National Laboratory by one year.

In a memo that went out to employees following the meeting, McMillan shared NNSA’s official communication about the contract extension to stakeholders, which notes that “NNSA has determined to grant Los Alamos National Security, LLC (LANS) a final Award Term for performance in Fiscal Year (FY) 2015, extending the period of performance through FY 2018.
