Two Local Jazz Bands Play The Pond Today

The Los Alamos County Summer Concert Series presents two local jazz bands at 7 p.m., today at Ashley Pond Park. The show is free and features many of Los Alamos’ best musicians.

TAOS — For the 15th year, Taos Solar Music Festival (“festival”) is once again bringing the hottest international bands to Taos.
 
The festival is June 27-28 and includes headliners KONGOS, John Butler Trio, The Wallflowers, Rixton, Rodrigo y Gabriela and more along with the winner of the “Fan of the Band” contest who will open the June 27 show.

Tuesdays At The Pond Begins June 2

Tuesdays at the Pond begins this week with Marcos Cavalcante playing guitar at Ashley Pond Park.

Tuesdays at the Pond, a summer entertainment series, begins its second season June 2 and runs through Aug. 11. It brings a variety of entertainment acts to the Ashley Pond Park stage in downtown Los Alamos every Tuesday evening.

The Santa Fe Community Orchestra’s (SFCO) Season Finale is 4 p.m. Sunday, June 7 at the Lensic Performing Arts Center.

This program includes works by Mozart, Elgar, Aragón, and Vivaldi, and features a collaboration with dancers from NDI New Mexico’s Team XCel.

Albuquerque Film and Music Experience presents: “Tension – 25 Years Underground”, a documentary on the power/thrash metal band Tension, which will be played from 7-9 p.m., Friday June 5, at South Broadway Cultural Center, 1025 Broadway Blvd SE in Albuquerque.
