BLM: Closed Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Day

SANTA FE ― President Donald Trump has issued an executive order excusing federal employees from duty for the scheduled workday of Tuesday, Dec. 24.
 
Therefore, all Bureau of Land Management offices and developed recreation areas will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and reopen Thursday, Dec. 26.
 
In addition, offices and developed recreation areas also will be closed New Year’s Day.

The Los Alamos and White Rock senior centers are hosting a New Year’s Eve party fundraiser 5-8 p.m. Tues, Dec. 31 at the Betty Ehart Senior Center, 1101 Bathtub Row.
 
The community is invited to the fundraiser for the centers. Admission is $3 for members and $5 for non-members. Admission includes free popcorn and a chance to win prizes throughout the night.

NWF: Reforestation Legislation Will Safeguard Wildlife Habitat, Drinking Water Supplies
