Daytime High School Equivalency Class At UNM-LA

UNM-LA News:

 

A new daytime High School Equivalency (HSE) class started Monday at the University of New Mexico-Los Alamos campus.

 

Classes will run from 1 to 3 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays and will be held in Building 7, Room B11 through June 14. Claudia Ress will be teaching the class.

 

There is no cost to students for the class which is sponsored by state and federal funds.

Students may join the class at any time during the 14 weeks.

Creepy Man Lurking Outside Smith’s In White Rock

A citizen who revealed her name to the Los Alamos Daily Post tonight submitted the follow account of an encounter with a man who scared her and she wanted to alert the community:
 
I was hoping you could let the community know (without using my name) about a creepy guy who was lurking on the side of Smith’s along Longview Dr., in White Rock tonight.

In the aftermath of a 19-year-old man killing 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., many young people have become active in the discussion and debate of gun violence.
 
During the March for Our Lives event, an upcoming march and rally in Santa Fe, young people are invited to continue to participate in the discussion. The event begins at noon Saturday, March 24, at the Roundhouse. The march will end with a rally in the Santa Fe Plaza.
