New Research Released From American Express Ahead Of Small Business Saturday

Shoppers across the U.S. are getting ready to Shop Small on Small Business Saturday, celebrated this year Nov. 24, and their local economic impact could be significant.
 
According to the new Small Business Economic Impact Study from American Express, an average two-thirds ($0.67) of every dollar spent at a small business stays in the local community.
 
Small Business Saturday was created in 2010 by American Express as a way to help get more customers through the doors of small businesses and has grown to become a permanent fixture of the holiday shopping weekend.

DURANGO, Colo.  Purgatory Resort opens for ski season Saturday, Nov. 17 with top to bottom skiing and snowboarding on the frontside of the mountain.

First Half Of County Property Taxes Due Dec. 10

COUNTY News:

2018 property tax bills were mailed earlier in November. The first half of property taxes will become delinquent after Monday, Dec. 10.

Payment must either be made in person at the Customer Care Center by 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10 or postmarked by midnight that same day to avoid late payment penalty and interest charges.

The Customer Care Center is in the Municipal Building lobby at 1000 Central Ave. They are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Payments should be mailed to P.O. Box 99, Los Alamos, NM  87544.
