SANTA FE – Senate Majority Whip Michael Padilla (D-14-Bernalillo) will chair the Science, Technology and Telecommunications Committee Oct. 20-21 in room 317 at the State Capitol in Santa Fe. N.M. Tourism Department Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Latham shares good news about the growth of tourism in Los Alamos and around the state Thursday during a gathering at Fuller Lodge. Philip Kunsberg recently purchased the building at 1789 Central Ave., in downtown Los Alamos and has launched a major renovation project to the exterior and interior of the building. The building houses Starbucks, Ruby K’s Bagel Café, Southwest Office Solutions, Hilltop Spa and coming soon – The Blue Window Bistro. LAHS Hosts 4th Annual Career Fair Oct. 19

LAHS News:

Los Alamos High School will host its 4th Annual Career Fair noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19 in the A-wing lobby of the school.

More than 25 Los Alamos community members representing a variety of careers have committed to attend this year’s event, with more expected to sign up.

There also will be mock interview sessions and resume reviews. Students can enter drawings for prizes for attending and meeting with the career representatives. In addition, the LAHS food service will be selling lunch items prior to the start of the Career Fair.

So a week and a half ago I got a call at 9 o’clock on a Sunday morning from one of our clients. He was badly shaken up from an accident the night before. He was driving on a four lane highway just outside of Santa Fe when out of nowhere a drunk driver hit him. His car did two 360’s, rolled and ended up on the concrete median wall.
