Annie White Wins 2019 Dog Jog Logo Contest

Annie White, a sixth-grade student at Pinon Elementary School, is this year’s winner of the Dog Jog Logo contest.

Her drawing will be the official logo for this year’s Dog Jog event and she will receive a free t-shirt featuring her artwork.

The winners are chosen on the basis of artistic merit, creativity and originality.

The full moon in March is called the Worm Moon, and is usually considered the last full moon of winter. It also is called Lenten Moon, Crow Moon, Crust Moon, Chaste Moon, Sugar Moon and Sap Moon.

The Los Alamos Photo Club announces the opening of its 24th Annual Photo Show Monday, April 1, in the upstairs gallery of the Los Alamos Public Library.
 
A reception will be held from 5:30-7 p.m., April 1 in the lounge outside the gallery. The public is invited to attend to view the exhibited works and interact with the participating photographers. The program features Robbin Legere Henderson and David Maes with presentations on Matilda Rabinowitz, a socialist labor organizer from the east and the Silver City Mining strike in New Mexico.
