Super Bowl Buzz Bus Takes Reservations

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos DWI Planning Council and Atomic City Transit (ACT) are partnering once again to provide free safe ride services in Los Alamos.

Super Bowl Sunday is a day when many people will attend parties with alcohol, so a Buzz Bus service is something these two groups hope community members will take advantage of.

Diane Noveroske, acting chair of the DWI Planning Council says, “The DWI Planning Council is excited to be able to offer a safe ride, the Buzz Bus, on Super Bowl Sunday. We are happy to be able to offer this service in partnership with the Los Alamos County ACT and sincerely appreciate the terrific public response. Thank you for making the right decision to keep the roads safe in Los Alamos County.”

Ride service will be available:

  • 2:30-9:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5.

Reservations will be accepted:

  • 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3 and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 by leaving a message with name and phone number; and
  • Starting at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5 by calling 661-RIDE(7433).

For questions about the Buzz Bus service, or, for individuals interested in joining the DWI Planning Council, contact DWI Program Coordinator Kirsten Bell, at kirsten.bell@lacnm.us or 505.662.8241.
