Stuck in a Rut or Suffering from Chronic Pain? Reiki Uses the Biofield Energy to Cleanse and Balance Your Body, Mind and Spirit.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Reiki is an energy therapy technique that is based upon the awareness that an unseen energy flows through all living things and directly affects the quality of a person’s health. This “healing energy” has been part of the wisdom of many cultures since ancient times and has been called ki in China, prana in India, ti or ki in ancient Hawaii, as well as orgone energy and élan vital. In modern science it is referred to as the biofield energy.
Reiki is administered through the hands of a Reiki practitioner with the client lying fully clothed on a massage table. A traditional Reiki session lasts 45 to 60 minutes although shorter sessions are beneficial and can also be done while sitting in a chair. Reiki energy increases blood circulation and promotes physical healing including relief from headaches, insomnia, upset stomach, sprains and other minor conditions.
Reiki also promotes psychological healing including the release of anger, fear, worry, sadness and other unhealthy feelings and replaces them with self-worth, confidence and tranquility. Reiki is becoming increasingly popular with the medical community for its help in increasing sleep, reducing pain and nausea, as well decreasing anxiety and improving mental attitude.
I came to know Reiki at a point in my life when I needed an integrative healing approach meaning I needed healing on the levels of body, mind and spirit because focusing on any single aspect was not working effectively. I was suffering from chronic systemic allergy induced inflammation and chronic back and hip pain from sports injuries and childbirth. I took the level I, II, and Master level Reiki Practitioner classes and I and began receiving Reiki treatments from other Reiki practitioners, as well as performing daily self-Reiki sessions and incorporating it into my wellness work.
I have found a significant increase in my healing process and the effectiveness of other modalities such as herbs, essential oils, and bodywork were greatly enhanced, as well I have found a deeper connection/commitment to my wellness work. I highly recommend Reiki to anyone that feels stuck in a rut in life and is ready to get out and move on to living well or anyone that is suffering form physical or psychological pain.

I was trained at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts located in Santa Fe, NM. I am also a board certified toxicologist and have been working to promote environmental health for over 17 years. I blend my training in Swedish massage, medical massage, aromatherapy, yoga therapy, Reiki energy therapy and environmental health with a bit of creativity to create a unique treatment for each client. I call this treatment intuitive therapeutic bodywork. I offer 30, 60 and 90-minute treatments in office or mobile in the Los Alamos area.
I encourage a holistic approach to health, which includes receiving other types of bodywork/healing modalities regularly including, but not limited to chiropractic, acupuncture, Ayurveda and posture therapy. This approach seems to have a positively synergistic effect on my wellbeing.

I am a very energetic person and live a full life. I thrive on being physically active and have been athletic most of my life. I love to run, ride my bicycle, hike, ski, sea kayak and practice yoga, and massage. I also enjoy traveling, painting, sculpting, gardening, reading, writing, and meditation just to name some of my activities. My pursuits tend to revolve around health, creativity and channeling my energy constructively. I am also a wife and mother of three and enjoy the company of the family dogs and cats.
