Russ Gordon celebrates concert series’ 25-year anniversary

SUMMER CONCERT News:

Tonight’s fundraiser for the Los Alamos Summer Concert Series will get going at 7 p.m. at the Posse Lodge.

Music is DK & the Affordables. Special guest musicians include Eddy Partridge of the Nomads fame and James Carothers of the Renegade Mountain Band. Tickets are $15 or $25 for couples.

At 8:30 p.m., the live and silent auctions will take place. Thirty-one items have been donated. All proceeds go into the 2014 LA County Summer Concert Series. Bring cash or a checkbook because credit cards cannot be accepted.  

Hand  pressed hamburgers or cheeseburgers cooked on a grill with all the fixings including green chili, lettuce and onions will be served, along with Aunt Annie’s coleslaw, Mama Debe’s Texas baked beans and soda pop. The price for dinner is $8. Attendees may bring their own bottle if they wish.

“This will be a great time and will benefit a tremendous Summer Series line-up that starts May 16 at Overlook Park and then May 23 at our new stage at Ashley Pond,” Gordon said. “I hope to announce the entire Concert Series schedule next week.”
