Students Rally To Raise Minimum Wage In Los Alamos

By LAMS Students

Students at Los Alamos Middle School (LAMS) are working on a project to gather support to raise the minimum wage in Los Alamos County.

The students have created a Google Form for online viewers to fill out, or physical viewers can email mrluen@gmail.com for a form to be sent to them, or for answers to any questions about sources, clarification or any other topic.

Below is a quick list of the student’s reasoning:

  • The living wage in our county is much higher than the minimum wage;
  • Helps lift people out of poverty;
  • Increases consumer spending;
  • Increases employee satisfaction + productivity;
  • Combats inflation.
