Students Host Coffee Fundraiser At LANB Today

Local students are selling their Holiday Crafts and Coffee 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today in the lobby of Los Alamos National Bank, 1200 Trinity Dr. Orders for the certified organic and Fair Trade, fresh roasted coffee are delivered.

Proceeds go to support the annual educational tour of Europe for local students, which runs 13 days in June. Los Alamos graduates will learn through the power of visiting ancient historical sites in Italy and Greece, including Roman Colosseum, Vatican with St. Peters Basilica and Sistine Chapel, Capri, Pompeii, Delphi, Temple of Apollo, Acropolis, Parthenon, and the Greek isles of Mykonos, Crete and Santorini. 

“We believe that educational travel is a valuable experience for living in our global economy. By witnessing new cultures first-hand and experiencing history usually learned in textbooks, we plan to strengthen our skills as global citizens and build confidence for college and adult life,” said Lynn Ovaska, a local teacher and believer in global education, and an expert tour director with EF Tours who will lead the tour.

Choose From Four Blends:

French Roast – This is our darkest blend and is comprised of coffees from Indonesia and South America. It is a full-bodied, earthy blend that produces a huge, mouth-filling cup.

Morning Dew – This blend consists of coffees from around the world. Morning Dew is a blend of dark roasted and medium roasted coffees. It brews up a silky-smooth cup that is full-bodied and very drinkable.

Morning Dew Decaf. – This is our decaffeinated version of the ever popular Morning Dew. All the beans of this blend were decaffeinated by certified organic water processes, such as Swiss Water. All the flavor without the jitters!
