Still Time to Donate to Purchase School Library Books

AAUW News:

The AAUW campaign to raise $20,000 for the Jean Nereson Books Memorial Fund is nearing its goal, AAUW committee member Nina Thayer said.

Each of the five local elementary schools has already received $1,000 that was used to purchase new books that are now available to the students for library check-out. The completed goal will provide identical funds for purchases of new books each year for the next three years. 

Anyone who would like to honor the memory of the respected elementary teacher Jean Nereson is encouraged to send a fully tax deductible donation check to the Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation, with a memo line stating “Jean Nereson Books Memorial.” Send donations to 1900 Diamond Dr., Suite 1, Los Alamos, NM 87544.
