Steinhaus On Last Two Weeks Before Break

From Dr. Kurt Steinhaus
LAPS Superintendent

Good morning from the Superintendent’s desk!

As we start the last two weeks before break, here is a thought: rather than counting the days, let’s make the days count.

Ideas that may help us make the days count for our students and everyone on staff:

  • Community: we are part of many different communities – family, faith, friends and school. This creates diversity, which is good and makes for wonderful celebrations.
  • Empathy: we can learn to see the world through others’ perspectives. While this is a time of happiness for many, it also can be a time of sadness. Let’s be especially mindful of others over the next two weeks.
  • Grit: we will persevere in the face of any challenge. Grit is a positive trait based upon a passion for meeting our goals.

Growth

Resilience

Integrity

Tenacity

Now, let’s get out there and make it a great two weeks!
