Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony Scheduled In Clovis March 16

CLOVIS The 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War will be commemorated in Clovis at a special 11 a.m. ceremony March 16, presented by the New Mexico Department of Veterans Services (DVS) at American Legion Post 25 at 2400 West 7th Street. 

All veterans who served during the Vietnam War era, as well as family members of deceased Vietnam War-era veterans, are invited to attend—and will be presented with a 50th Anniversary Commemorative Pin and a Certificate of Appreciation for their service and sacrifice.

SANTA FE  To take advantage of favorable conditions, to include fuel moisture levels, air quality and weather forecasts, fire managers on the Pecos/Las Vegas Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) expect to begin a prescribed burn in early March in the East Rowe Mesa area to improve wildlife habitat and promote forest health.
