ALBUQUERQUE As part of the “National Census Day of Action”, the Center for Civic Policy launched a digital PSA campaign Monday to highlight the preparations happening for an accurate count in New Mexico.
 
The 2020 Census will determine how more than $800 billion in federal funding is allocated each year. The census is critical for figuring out what our communities need to be healthier, safer and more successful.

District Attorney Marco Serna Announces Second Degree Murder Conviction Of Christopher Owens

SANTA FE Tuesday, First Judicial District Attorney Marco Serna announced the conviction of Christopher Owens for the brutal murder of Timothy Baca in Santa Fe during the Summer of 2017.
 
A Santa Fe jury has found Owens guilty of 2nd Degree Murder with a Firearm and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
 
“Combating violent crime in northern New Mexico remains our priority,” District Attorney Serna said. “This brazen, brutal crime shook the community and I will be asking the court to impose the maximum sentence.”
