NMED Seeks Input On Regional Haze Planning

NMED News:
 
The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) is seeking input on the development of its Regional Haze State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision, which is due to EPA July 31, 2021.
 
Air Quality Bureau (AQB) staff have been involved in regional work in preparation for this planning effort and will begin a program of public outreach to gather comments and suggestions on Regional Haze efforts. To be effective, this outreach must be as comprehensive as possible.

SANTA FE The New Mexico Public Education Department announced funding recipients for new educator preparation programs in New Mexico, helping four teacher education programs support new educators through residency models addressing diversity and quality, while prioritizing the needs of districts with large English-language-learner and Native American populations. 
 
The four programs receiving the funds, which were appropriated through House Bill 2:

Road Work Notice: CR 72A (Big Tesuque Canyon Road) Bridge Replacement Project Underway

SANTA FE A contractor for the Santa Fe County Public Works Department will begin excavation and construction on CR 72A (Big Tesuque Canyon Road).
 
The project consists of roadway improvements and bridge replacement on CR 72A. The project began Monday, July 29 and is scheduled to be completed Fall 2019.
