State Fair Announces Second Annual Music Festival

NMSF News:

ALBUQUERQUE — The New Mexico State Fair is excited to announce the return of its flagship music festival, Soundwave NM, scheduled to take place during the 2026 New Mexico State Fair on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at the Chevron Pavilion. Entrance into Soundwave NM will be included with the price of Fair admission.

“The New Mexico State Fair is the best place to highlight and share the rich musical talent from around New Mexico,” said Fair general manager Dan Mourning. “Soundwave NM is back for the second year in a row and we’re excited to make things even bigger. The Chevron Pavilion will be rocking out, making this a can’t-miss festival!”

Soundwave NM is set to feature some of the top New Mexico-based talent in a festival setting. This event is the natural evolution of the Fair’s longstanding commitment to promoting New Mexico-based musicians. This event will be structured like a music festival with six musical acts taking the stage back-to-back at the Chevron Pavilion.

The lineup is as follows, based on order of appearance, with performances starting at 11 a.m., Sept. 19:

  • Edward Brewer
  • JD Nash & The Rash of Cash
  • Clarq
  • The Backlash
  • Russian Girlfriends
  • Metalachi

Purchasing a State Fair admission ticket includes admission to Soundwave NM. Make sure to follow the New Mexico State Fair on Facebook and Instagram for more exciting concert updates.

The 2026 New Mexico State Fair is scheduled to run from Sept. 10–20, 2026. The State Fair promises to be a magical event that highlights the culture, agriculture, art, and beauty of New Mexico, including top-quality music and entertainment. This year’s Fair will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Route 66.
