Startup Workshop at the Hive Thursday

HIVE News:

Thinking of starting a business? Want to learn about what will be presented at Startup Weekend Santa Fe?

Eric Renz-Whitmore, executive director of New Mexico Technology Council, will lead a session Thursday, Feb. 28 at The Hive during this week’s brown-bag lunch.

The brown-bag will start at 11:30 a.m. and Renz-Whitmore will start his session at noon. As always, there is no charge.

The Hive invites community members to participate with like-minded entrepreneurs (no need to be an entrepreneur – yet.)

The “Lean Canvas” is Ash Maurya’s adaptation of the “Business Model Canvas” developed by Alex Osterwalder incorporating the work of Steve Blank in his “Four Steps to the Epiphany” and taking a lean approach to addressing the needs of the entrepreneur.

It’s a tool that lies at the core of the Lean Startup movement and events like Startup Weekend.

In this hands-on session, we’ll look at the different canvas tools available and walk through their different applications and use.

The Hive encourages startup minded individuals to participate in Startup Weekend Santa Fe.

Visit the event online and learn more at http://santafesw.eventbrite.com/. Discounts are available to attendees of Thursday’s event at the Hive.
