WHITE ROCK — First place in on the line today as the Los Alamos Softball team faces Española in a District 2-5A matchup in the final week of the regular season. The Toppers, winners of 9 of their last 12 games, finish the regular season against Capital High School in Santa Fe this Saturday.

The Los Alamos High School baseball team and the Los Alamos softball team continue to fight for a spot in the Class 5A state playoffs.
The Los Alamos baseball team did what it had to do to stay alive for an at-large bid to the Class 5A baseball playoffs. The Hilltoppers picked up what may be their biggest win of the season April 19 against Albuquerque Academy in Albuquerque, defeating the Chargers 7-4 in nine innings.

To say UNM sophomore outfielder Jared Mang is having a great is season is to say the Cubs had an okay season last year. Yeah, you can say they had a pretty okay year. Mang, a Los Alamos High School alum, leads the Lobos (23-16-1, 1st in MWC) in batting average (.381), and hits (61) and is doing so against the nation’s best teams.
