Two lucky athletes or relay teams will get to race the Atomic Man Duathlon for free.  
 
How will this work you ask? At 10 a.m., on race morning, the race director or his designee will pull two numbers from a hat (one solo Little Boy competitor or relay team + one solo Fat Man competitor or relay team).

Los Alamos Badminton Players Bring Home 2017 NM Games Gold

Los Alamos Badminton players dominated the field in the 2017 New Mexico Games Badminton tournament, bringing home gold and silver medals in men’s singles and gold and bronze in men’s doubles competition.
 
In the men’s singles tournament, Blake Hovde was victorious over fellow Los Alamos teammate Po-E (Paul) Li in a dramatic final, taking the championship match 17-21, 29-27, 21-14.

Strother Is Top Predictor In Weekly Pace Race

William Strother, 8, was the best predictor in the weekly pace race held in White Rock on the upcoming Atomic Man Dualthlon course with a 60 second error. 
 
Other accurate predictors were: Pavel Semin at 62 seconds off, Bob Weeks with a 78 second differential, and Sue Elkins recording a 120 second difference as well as the first female finisher on the 1 mile course.
 
Diego Leonard, 7, was the top finisher on the 1 mile course at 9:11.

Summer And Fall Field User Meeting June 28

The Summer and Fall Field User Meeting is 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., June 28 at the Parks Division Conference Room in Building 5 at 101 Camino Entrada.
 
Bring all schedule requests and a copy of the organization’s Liability of Insurance naming Los Alamos County as additional insured to the meeting. Mandatory attendance is required. Anyone unable to attend, should designate someone to attend in their place.
