The Topper softball team gathers for a cheer before their first game in the State Championship Playoffs played at Cleveland High School in Albuquerque Thursday morning. The Toppers won their way into the playoffs by winning the district 2-5 A championship title. The Toppers were to face the Aztec Tigers for their first game at state and they had to win this game to progress to the next bracket.
