Jackilyn Rinaldi Is Top Predictor In Weekly Pace Race

ACRR News:

Jackilyn Rinaldi is the best predictor in the weekly pace race held Tuesday at Pinon (Rocket) Park in White Rock with a 6 second differential off her predicted time.

Other accurate predictors are:

Cara Gattiker, 11, at 12 seconds off;

Adrian Medin, 10, at 21 seconds off his predicted time and also the best finisher in the 1 mile distance at 7:37;

Beth Davenport with a 24 second differential; and

Aurea Rojas at 45 seconds off.

On the 1 mile course Libby Nolen, 14, was the best female finisher recording a 9:04.

68th Annual Atomic City Invitational Results Announced

Eric Trujillo is congratulated by Scott Winegar for his win Monday in the Men’s Championship Flight at the 68th Atomic City Invitational played July 2-5 at the Los Alamos County Golf Course. The two were evenly matched and tied for most of the final rounds until Trujillo pulled ahead on the last putt on the last hole to secure the win in front of a large gallery that followed the pair through the final holes. Weekly Fishing Report: July 4, 2021

The recent period of cool temperatures and rainy weather has been beneficial for anglers, keeping the streamflows in New Mexico higher and keeping water temperatures cooler.

Campers benefitted as well. Stage 1 Fire Restrictions were lifted on Santa Fe National Forest and Carson National Forest land, allowing campers to enjoy campfires again.

Fire restrictions could be put back into place if the weather turns hot and dry. For now, enjoy the comfort of a campfire. Fire restrictions at New Mexico State Parks vary from park-to-park.
