Robbie Ferenbaugh Is Best Predictor In Weekly Pace Race

ACRR News: 

Robbie Ferenbaugh, 10, is the top predictor in the Atomic City Road Runners (ACRR) weekly pace race Tuesday with a 15 second differential off his predicted time.

The pace race was held on West Jemez Road featuring 1 and 3 mile trail and paved races.

Other accurate predictors are:

  • Anna Ferenbaugh, 12, at 21 seconds off as well as the first female finisher in the 1 mile trail race with a time of 11:38;
  • Sanna Sevanto with a 31 second difference and the top female finisher in the the 3 mile trail race recording

Summer is winding down. Soon, high school athletes will begin practicing for their fall sports seasons with most schools beginning the 2021-2022 school year by the end of August. Families will be getting out and going on what could be their final chance at a family camping trip.

Fishing conditions heading into August are the best they have been in several years. Beneficial monsoon rains have kept streamflow high and water temperatures cooler this year. The land looks greener than it has in recent years when we were plagued with drought. Read More

NMAA Deputy Director Dana Pappas To Join NFHS Staff

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Dana Pappas, deputy director and commissioner of officials of the New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA), will join the staff of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Aug. 1.

Pappas will take on the role of Director of Officiating Services – a newly designed staff position devoted to officials programming, services and courses.

Theresia Wynns, who has served as NFHS director of sports and officials education since 2012, will retire July 31 after a 50-year career in education at the local, state and national levels. Read More
