Astonishing, creepy, fluky, spooky, bizarre, curious, eerie, ghostly, scary, uncanny, mysterious, odd, strange, peculiar, dreamlike, unexpected, supernatural and weird are just some of the adjectives used to describe the artwork on display in “Spooky Action At A Distance”.
The show, featuring juried art from local, regional and out-of-state artists, opens Thursday, Oct. 28 with a “safe” reception 5:30-7 p.m. in Step Up Gallery, top floor of Mesa Public Library at 2400 Central Ave.
The show runs until Nov. 18 and masking and social distancing are required.
The exhibit includes oil and acrylic paintings, drawings, photographs, fiber art, with mixed media and ceramic sculpture, and even two painted skateboards.
Put Step Up Gallery on your list of ways the celebrate the Halloween and fall season in Los Alamos. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Closed Sundays.
