Smoky scene this morning from Overlook Park looking in the direction of the Medio Fire. As of Tuesday evening the USDA reports that the Medio Fire began Monday off the Rio en Medio Trail on the Española Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest, approximately 2 miles north of the Village of Rio en Medio, 2 miles east/southeast of Nambe Reservoir and 5 miles north/northwest of the Santa Fe Ski Basin. More than 150 acres have burned and the fire is 0 percent contained. The cause is not yet known. Photo by M. Brazfield
