Taste of Mexico kicks off Saturday at Smith’s Food and Drug Center. There will be delicious samples from Mexican cuisine for customers, drawings for deals around the store, Spin to Win prizes, and games for kids that include pinata breaks every hour starting at 1 p.m. and running until 4 p.m. Saturday.
Also, Smith’s Cultural Council is always looking for ways to help the community through volunteer work and charity. If anyone has any great ideas or knows groups that can benefit from an incredibly enthusiastic and hardworking bunch of people they can call Toby Haag at 505.662.7210.
“We want to really make a difference outside of the store to help continue to make Los Alamos a great place to live and support those in need,” Haag said. “It’s been my home for 32 years and want to find more ways to help fellow residents.“
