A check presentation to each school or organization was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Smith’s Food & Drug Store at 535 Central Ave. in Los Alamos.
More than 20 educational entities received funds. The top five recipients were:
- Barranca Mesa Elementary – $5,809;
- Mountain Elementary – $5,689;
- Los Alamos High School – $5,605;
- Los Alamos Middle School – $5,193; and
