SKI News:

It’s an exciting day for skiers and riders as New Mexico opens for ski season today. The quad turns all day at Sipapu Ski Resort with skiing on Thumper.

Crews have been working around the clock making snow for today’s opening. Sipapu is the only ski resort in New Mexico to open today for the season.

Purgatory Resort in Durango, Colo., also opens today for the ski season. Due to the unseasonably warm fall, Purgatory decided to celebrate the opening day of ski season a little differently this year. Today, they are opening the mountain bike uplift and will feature the downhill mountain bike flow trail along with skiing three trails at Purgatory – this will happen all weekend.

Pajarito Mountain in Los Alamos is gearing up for opening day, scheduled for next Friday, Nov. 25.
