Sign Up Underway for 2015 8th Grade Spring Break Trip to Washington, D.C.

EDUCATIONAL TRIP News:

Sign up is underway for the 2015 8th grade Washington, D.C. spring break trip. This is a private trip and not sponsored by Los Alamos Public Schools. 

Many thousands of Los Alamos Middle School students have participated and tremendously enjoyed this fabulous educational trip. Highlights of the trip include the White House, a Capitol tour, the International Spy Museum, the Washington Monument, the Smithsonian Museums, the National Holocaust Museum, Arlington National Cemetery, the Baltimore National Aquarium, and night tours of the Presidential Monuments, the Vietnam Memorial, Korean Memorial and the World War II Memorial and a play at the Kennedy Center. 

The price of the trip includes round trip transportation to the DC area, accommodations in a 5 star hotel, all meals and daily tour bus transportation. The trip is open to all next year’s 8th grade LAMS students and home school students.

Currently, until June 5, the travel company is offering an early bird sign up special. Any student who turns in a $49 deposit to secure their registration will receive last year’s 8th grade class trip price. After June 5, the price of the trip will increase slightly.
